New Year, New Eye Candy

Well, the holidays are gone and here we are in the hazy shade of winter. I believe the winter doldrums have set in and I am fighting to break away from them. It has unfortunately affected my crafting abilities. I have a beautiful space to work in, incredible supplies to work with. I barely set foot in the room and turn tail and plop on the couch with my new cool fleece tie blanket from my bestie gal pal (Thanks Shirley!). I am hoping that by the time I write this, I can pull myself out of the slump and get back into my groove. I know that Farmer's market time will be here before I know it and I will need incredible papercrafts to sell!
I posted on my Facebook recently about undoing years of self abuse. I got some amazing feedback to that post. I think my favorite came from my friend Drew who said "Let the past be the past at last." Wise words from a very wise most kick ass friend! So with all of this in mind, lets pull out of the cave and back into the sunshine of my mind (even if it is grey outside).

I'm going to post some pictures here that I entered in a contest but didn't win, so I can post them now. Enjoy!

Hope Series

Hi all!
I have decided to try out doing different series of cards. Right now I am working on the Hope Series. It is a series dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness. I feel that awareness should not just span a month, but all year. Here are three of the series of five. (two to follow in the next couple of days). Have a great weekend all!

New Studio Space!

So, things have been busy here! I've been working some crazy hours since I took the promotion at work, but I am still working on cards as much as possible. I came home from work one day last week to an explosion in the computer/craft/music room. The light fixture had literally exploded into a zillion pieces all over the floor. Seth had to take everything out of the room in order to clean up all the shards of glass out of the carpet, or we'd all end up with cuts in our feet! While he did this, he thought it was the opportune time to fix up the space and get the chi flowing in the right direction by cleaning up all the unused things on the floor under tables and whatnot. See, I'm good at keeping the top of my desk/table cleaned up, but definitely not the underneath! I have craft things in two rooms. My thought was that I was going to eventually at some point take over the dining room and make that the craft space. That didn't happen, but the mess of it all did.
Now all is much better. I've purged things out to make room for the new things my friend Judy gave me when she purged from her space :) I am confident in the fact things will flow so much nicer now. Seth and I are still able to coexist in the same space in the crafty/music computer  room AND we have reclaimed our dining room as it is meant to be ... a dining room! There is now a lovely book case that we weren't using from our garage which houses all of our nicely scrapbooked photo albums and all the pictures yet to be scrapbooked. All of our phone chargers reside there now too. There will be photos to follow in this blog. I'm so excited to be so much better organized than I was. I can see all my supplies and am able to utilize them when needed, instead of duplicate purchasing items or not knowing what the heck I have in general! I still have a ways to go, but I'd say happily it is about 80 percent complete! Please enjoy pictures of new eye candy and the new but old studio space! Happy blogging and crafting all!

Fall Bazaar Update

Don't you love those colors?
As most of you know, I participated in a fall bazaar this past weekend and it went really well. I sold a lot of cards, completely sold out of treat tins, sold several journals, and overall it was just a nice show. I was in a 'side room' with a Pampered Chef consultant named Tammy, and with my love of food and PC, it was a friendship made in bliss! We bartered between ourselves for items. I ended up with a Thai Curry Rub, a Season's Best cookbook I didn't have, and a bottle of Thai Peanut Sauce...and she wanted cards, so we traded! LOVE that system! She got exactly what she wanted and so did I. My handsome hubby was with me all the way. He is so great to trudge along with me. He never complained about being there or helping in any way, and when we were done, we found a Dunkin Donuts (something that we definitely do not have near us, but something we adore) so we could bring some yummy treat home. I am still shocked that he sat with that dozen donuts on his lap the entire ride (90 minutes) and didn't eat any!! :) Anyhow! I have some newish cards to show you. Some of them did sell at the Bazaar...and I don't replicate anything, so when they are gone, they are gone. Website update for those interested...its a work in progress to get each card up and get a cart attached to it, so it will be a week before its complete.
